For these three disillusioned and wounded soldiers, a somewhat forced friendship becomes a way of holding on to something resembling a functioning life. 

Evoking Robert Altman's film M*A*S*H in its roller coaster approach to humour and sadness, McLure gently lets us in on these privates' private wars.
