A powerful two-hander about betrayal.

He has nowhere else to go.

She has a kind heart.

He has filled his days with memories of their past. She has tried to move on.

They have not seen each other in a long time.

Tonight he has returned. Suddenly the past doesn’t feel all that long ago.

Written in response to Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge.

Red Line Productions – 2017 New Fitz Season – The Wind In The Underground – Katy Warner

Katy is a Melbourne-based playwright and graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (Master of Writing for Performance).

Her plays have been presented across Australia, New Zealand, and in Edinburgh as part of Festival Fringe. She is an AWGIE winner (Best Children’s Theatre for Reasons to Stay Inside), recipient of the Melbourne Fringe Award for Best Emerging Writer (These are the isolate) and Green Room award nominee for New Writing (A Prudent Man). Her play, nest, recently made the long list of Theatre503's Playwriting Award and will have its debut in London with Small Truth Theatre, directed by Yasmeen Ardeen, in early 2018.

Plays include Spencer (Lab Kelpie / Chapel off Chapel), A Prudent Man (Melbourne Fringe, Perth Fringe, Darwin Festival, Brisbane Festival, Hawke’s Bay Art Festival NZ and upcoming 2018 national tour), Reasons to Stay Inside, Dropped and These are the isolate.

Katy is currently working on her debut novel, Regime, which will be published by Black Inc. Books in August 2018.

She is a proud member of the Australian Writers' Guild.
