Freak Winds

Red Line Productions – 2015 Season – Freak Winds

In a quiet neighbourhood on a dangerously stormy night, brash insurance salesman Henry Crumb invades the home of the reclusive Ernest and his mysterious companion Myra.

Although Ernest seems like the perfect patsy, Henry's sales pitch doesn't go as planned and the evening soon takes a strange and unsettling turn...

Red Line Productions is proud to announce the long-awaited revival of Marshall Napier's classic Freak Winds – one of the most celebrated Australian plays in recent years. We are bringing this gothic thriller back to its original home at the Old Fitzroy Theatre where it first saw life over a decade ago before going on to a number of highly successful international productions. As in the acclaimed original, Marshall Napier is on board to act and direct.

‘A disturbing collage of the suspenseful, the perverse and the macabre.'

– Overline Theatre Pick (NY)

'Freak Winds is a deliciously disturbing – and often helplessly funny – addition to the canon of harrowing theatrical fare.'

– Off-Off Online (NY)
