In 2022-2023, Red Line Productions achieved an Australian first, staging the biggest theatre show ever housed in the Concert Hall at the Sydney Opera House to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

AMADEUS by Peter Shaffer was a co-production with the Sydney Opera House to headline the Opera Houses 50th year Anniversary celebrations, in the newly transformed Concert Hall stage. This was a momentous landmark theatrical event which starred famous Welsh actor, Michael Sheen and combined theatre, opera and classical music with lavish costumes directed by Australian fashion house Romance Was Born and costumes designed by Anna Cordingley. Directed by multi award-winning director Craig Ilott and featuring forty performers, including actors, opera singers and musicians from The Metropolitan Orchestra, conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams, Amadeus was an ambitious reimagining of Peter Shaffer’s Tony and Academy Award-winning play.
